Maria Fotinos

Maria Khawam is a research coordinator with the Gurtner Lab and the surgical oncology team at the University of Arizona Department of Surgery. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiology at the University of Arizona while studying lung and skin injury in murine models. 

Khawam is currently a masters student in public health, emphasizing in biostatistics and healthcare management. During her free time she enjoys reading and playing the guitar.
