Jonathan Yasmeh

Research Fellow

Jonathan is a fourth-year University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson (UACOM-T) medical student. He received his B.S. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). He subsequently received his M.S. in Global Medicine from the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. He is involved in basic, translational, and clinical research, notably projects that involve aging and diabetes, mechanostransduction, breast cancer, and the application of novel biologics. 

Jonathan is particularly intrigued by innovative tissue engineering constructs aimed at enhancing wound healing outcomes. He envisions exploring new possibilities to revolutionize the way wounds are treated and healed, leveraging cutting-edge advancements in tissue engineering.

He harbors a distinct passion for global surgery and recognizes its vital role in improving healthcare outcomes worldwide. He believes that innovative plastic surgery methods can play a pivotal role in elevating global health standards and addressing healthcare disparities in underserved regions.
